About Me
Ukraine, MMA, and Entrepreneurship
Aleksey Salaz – a strange name, no? I think so. I come from an immigrant mother (from the Ukraine) and she decided that every teacher reading a roll call should get my name wrong.
I was a normal kid growing up and wrestled my entire life. I sucked, but eventually, I decided to apply myself. I started winning. I even made it to the state finals in my senior year. That experience taught me that when I apply myself, anything is possible.
After high school, I enrolled at the University of Missouri. It was there that I found my two passions: MMA and business. Since I wrestled my entire life, the MMA fit like a glove. Business was different. I sucked. Fortunately, I already learned that when I apply myself I can do anything.
Through luck and kindness, I joined the Student Storage team, where I learned all the business fundamentals I still use today. Now, I focus on growing companies through digital channels, my own included.
